Christos Anesti!

Christ is risen from the dead, trampling down death by death and upon those in the tombs bestowing life!

The Sacred Pascha has been revealed - salvation has dawned for all! Christ has plumbed the depths of Hades and released death's captives. He has reclaimed those whom the deceiver has tried in vain to steal. We are given life and united to God!

I give God thanks that I was able to be present so much during Holy Week. Though I knew how the story ends (or rather, how the new life begins), the Passion took a lot out of me, emotionally and physically. While patience is not a strong suit under the best of circumstances, the moments of walking with Christ, seeing his death and waiting the resurrection were each as days. I have never felt, to use a trite term, waiting so dramatically. I don't want to say more (to avoid the usual reduction to oversimplicity), but I put this here as a place to stash my reminder, in case I forget the headline and consequently the details.

The Lord awoke as from sleep and arose, saving us. His resurrection enables me to walk in truth. Glory to Him in all things. May I bring Him honor as I go about my days.

Alithos anesti!
