Info theft
For the second time in a year, I am dealing with fraudulent use of a card number online. I don't know how this happens - I haven't used the card for a couple of months so when I got a charge, I was naturally surprised. Whoever had it used my address and a verrry similar email addy to get it approved. I already stopped receiving paper bills, I shred every bit of mail with my address on it, let alone anything more about me, I don't carry the cards when I don't intend to use them, I live alone and have all my personal info stashed etc. Interesting thing is I can't find the website that Paypal says was used for the charge. It was a gaming site and anyone who knows me knows I would never go to one, let alone one that charges moolah. Thankfully the company is quick to act and shut down my account. Still: gar.
